CHILDREN from Lord Scudamore School are leading lights in a national newspaper competition thanks to their keen collecting skills.
Lord Scudamore stands second in The Sun's 'Books for Schools' table having secured a whopping 76,900 tokens since January.
Top county title The Hereford Times also thinks that's something to celebrate, and we're happy to put pupils in the picture.
Headteacher Peter Box says strong community links are a key to Lord Scudamore leaving rivals on the shelf.
Parents are playing their part and many local businesses have also helped in the token triumph.
The 650 pupils are quickly closing in on last year's 93,750 total, which earned them nearly 400 free books.
An order has just gone in for a further 180. That's 426 so far this year from 76,900 tokens -- and still they keep on coming by the bag load.
