THE multi-talented Rosie Swale-Pope, famous for her world-wide exploits, will take part in the Hereford Marathon this Sunday.
Swale-Pope, 53, from Tenby in Pembrokeshire, has undertaken a multitude of gruelling events across the globe and has written several books on her experiences.
In addition to numerous marathons, she has single-handedly sailed around the world, trekked through the Andes and run across both Iceland and Romania.
Swale-Pope ran in the city's marathon two years ago and the response from local people when she continued for a third lap of the course pleased her so much that she has decided to return.
She comes into the event after recently completing her second Sahara Marathon, believed to be the only British woman to have achieved such a feat.
The Hereford Marathon is held at Hereford Leisure Centre and starts at 10am, with a half-marathon at 10.30am and a fun run at 10.45am.
