Kington Town 3 Darlaston 3
KINGTON completed their Banks's Brewery West Midlands League programme with an action-packed draw against high-flying Darlas-ton.
This meant that last season's champions finish in sixth position after a season beset by injuries and which saw them have six points deducted for fielding illegible players.
Both teams took advantage of perfect playing conditions and the visitors opened the scoring when they broke down the left and crossed for a striker to turn the ball home at the near post.
Scott Jackson showed good anticipation to get Kington back on level terms. Spotting the Darlaston goalkeeper off his line he found the target with a superb 20-yard chip.
Kington dominated play for the rest of the half but Darlaston broke away to snatch the lead just before the break.
Robbie Gore restored parity with a blistering 25-yard drive but Kington were again hit on the break with 10 minutes left.
With time running out Jackson earned Kington a share of the points when he outjumped the Darlaston defence to head home a left-wing cross from substitute Andy Clarke.
