WOOFFERTON grabbed runners-up spot in the Premier Division of the Hereford Times Hereford-shire League with a 2-0 win in their final game, at home to nearest rivals Fownhope.
Steve Minton set the home side on their way within the opening minutes when he took advantage of an unguarded net and hooked the ball in from 15 yards.
Woofferton had most of the first half play and little changed after half time, although Neil Crump did miss an opportunity to double the advantage from the penalty spot.
However, Rob Hicks made amends with a header from a corner 15 minutes from the end, which ensured second position behind Ewyas Harold, while Fownhope will finish third.

Jason Westmacott brought the score level again before half time when he beat two Pegasus defenders to register an excellent goal.
But David Bird claimed the winner in the 89th minute with an unstoppable shot from fully 25 yards.

Kington Colts snatched the title in Division 2 as they completed a run of 11 victories with two wins in their final two matches.
They paved the way with a good 5-2 away triumph over eventual third-placed side Holme Lacy and a 2-1 win at home to Great Western clinched top spot by a single point from Painters.
It completed a fine season for the Colts, last year's Division 3 champions, who reached the finals of both the HFA and HFL Junior Cups this season.
