LONG-SERVING Luctonians RFC administrator Peter Burgoyne was voted clubman of the year and made a life member at the annual dinner.
Burgoyne, who will be retiring from the office of club treasurer at the annual meeting, has served the club as a player, committee member and chairman for nearly 30 years.
Promising young prop Steve Jaques received the player of the year award, with versatile threequarter Wayne Mills receiving the most improved player trophy.
Mike Stoakes topped Luctonians' scoring list for the season with 181 points, which included six tries, and the full-back had the lion's share of the kicking duties.
Next was top try scorer Will Crawforth, a centre, with 15 for 75 points and then nine-try Gareth Lewis, a winger, followed with 67 points.
In all the 1st XV played 28 games, won 21, drew none and lost seven with 594 points for and 409 against.
They finished third in the RFU League Midlands 2 with 364 against 220 and reached the fourth round of the NPI Cup and the third round of the North Midlands Cup.
