LUCTONIANS youngsters Will Price and Steve Jaques are the beneficiaries of a link established with Australian club Gungahlian Eagles, of Canberra.
Twenty-year-old scrum-half Price and prop Jaques, 21, have flown out to the Australian Capital Territories club and will play in the ACT State League until September 5.
The link is part of the ongoing policy of Luctonians to fund the development of promising youngsters in the Southern Hemishere, started two years ago when forwards Ben McGowan and Richard Morgan tasted New Zealand rugby with Pakaranga, Auckland.
That link was established through their former Kiwi star, Paul Woodworth, and the latest intitiative has been made possible through Australian Andrew Maher, who spent a year with Luctonians.
Luctonians will be gaining the services of a fly-half and back-row forward from the Gungahlian club for next season.
