A superb strike by teenager Gavin Williams earned Hereford a share of the points at Bucks Head.
On the stroke of half-time, the 19-year-old won the ball from Telford defender Kevin Sandwith and lashed a 25-yard shot over Ryan Price in the home goal.
Sadly for Hereford, this was their only reward from a half which they dominated to the extent that they could easily have been three or more goals to the good.
It was a different story after half-time, however, and the home side, who had forced just two corners in the first 45 minutes, gained another four in the first four minutes of the half.
From the last of these, taken by Sandwith, powerful Gez Murphy bulleted a header past Scott Cooksey in the Bulls' goal.
Hereford: Cooksey, Lane, James, Taylor (Parry 66 min), Wright, White, Clarke, Snape, May, Fewings (Hanson 63 mins), Williams. Subs not used: Quy, Sturgess, Cotterill.
Attendance: 908.
