A 97-year-old man was attacked in his bed by a burglar who broke into his sheltered home in Ludlow.
Moments before, at around 1.25am on Saturday, May 6, his 89-year-old female neighbour fell foul of the thief while in bed, and was made to hand over £100.
The elderly man was assaulted by the thief who stole £10, and fell out of bed after being struck. He is being treated for facial and arm injuries.
Ludlow police are appalled by the attack and are looking for a white man in his 20's, around 5' 10'' tall in connection with the incident.
