THE Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School has received official notification that its bid to become a training school has been successful.
The initiative will start in September and run for three years, subject to an annual review of performance.
As a training school, Bishops will need to demonstrate good practice in initial teacher training, training mentors and the undertaking of research.
This new status has been made possible through collaboration with prospective partners, Cheltenham and Gloucester of Higher Education, the Marches Consortium and the LEA.
Bishops, meanwhile, has received a further boost with the news that is has been successfully reassessed for Investors in People.
This is a chamber of commerce award to organisations that emphasise staff training, development and improvement.
