THE headmasters' of Hereford's two cathedral schools, Dr Howard Tomlinson and Tim Lowe, are inviting the public to join them on their annual hike on Sunday, May 14.
This year' event, which aims to money for cancer research and other support charities, takes walkers through some of Herefordshire's most picturesque countryside.
Starting at Llanthony Priory, in the Vale of Ewyas, the hike involves a steep ascent to the ridge that carries Offa's Dyke path but then it's flat or downhill all the way and shouldn't be too troublesome for the elderly or very young.
Walkers are invited to nominate the charity they wish to support, while the headmasters' hike committee will distribute the remaining funds.
Maps, timings and sponsorship forms can be obtained from: T.R. Lowe, HCJS, 28 Castle Street, Hereford HR1 2NW. Please mark envelopes Headmasters' Hike.
