BULMERS has apologised to residents for the disturbance caused by the continuing work at the company's original site in Ryelands Street.
According to public relations manager George Thomas, the current noise nuisance is caused by the in-filling of the old cellars with crushed and compacted debris.
This, he added, was to prepare the site for the proposed new Beazer Homes housing estate.
"To ensure firm foundations for the houses, the in-fill must be compacted and it is the rollers doing this work which could be causing vibrations through the ground," Mr Thomas explained.
"Unfortunately, due to difficulties experienced by the demolition contractor, completion of the project is now some four weeks overdue and we anticipate the in-filling and compacting being completed in a further two weeks."
