The Courtyard is helping one of Britain's best-loved magicians celebrate his jubilee year.
Geoffrey Durham is bringing his one-man show to Hereford on Saturday May 20 and it promises to be an extraordinary insight into the life which has taken him from street busker to being the most popular celebrity guest on Channel 4's Countdown.
"I will be showing the audiences the ways in which magicians can manipulate our minds," he says. "I really couldn't be honest about my life as a conjurer if I didn't."
Geoffrey Durham was, famously, The Great Soprendo in the popular children's TV show Crackerjack in the 1970s but since 1989, he has presented his magic entirely as himself. "My favourite trick is the last one I did - usually!" he says. "Though I do have a soft spot for a real little miracle where I borrow three wedding rings and link them together. And then there's suspending four pints of water in mid-air - I like that. Not to mention bending a mirror."
Come and choose your favourite Geoffrey Durham trick on May 20. Tickets from The Courtyard box office on 01432 359252.
