ON Saturday, the Radio Academy, with the support of the Vision Charity, presents a master class at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford. Professional broadcasters from the BBC and commercial radio will be sharing their experience and skills with aspiring young journalists, djs and media executives.

Whether you're studying media or communications at A level, BTEC or GNVQ, or helping out in your local hospital radio station, or maybe fancied yourself as a future John Peel or Zoe Ball - now's your chance to find out how radio works and how you could work in it.

The programme from 10am to 5pm consists of three sessions looking at getting into radio:

'Presentation - how not to do it' with Colin Bray of BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester and Dean Roberts of Wyvern FM; 'Interviewing - what to ask and how to ask it' with Mike George of BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester and Mike Draper of Wyvern FM; and 'Scheduling - what to put where and why' with James Coghill of BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester and John Bradford of The Radio Academy.

The day also features a technical session with freelance broadcaster John Wellsman who will be demonstrating the latest digital editing techniques for visually impaired broadcasters.

Tickets are only £5 but only fifty places are available.
