ON Saturday the 11 organists associations in the Midlands have asked churches to open their doors and make the organ available for anyone to come in and hear, inspect and try it for themselves.
This is part of a combined programme of events arranged across the Midlands during 2000 to celebrate the Millennium.
The local Organists' Society, which was formed in 1992 has arranged for several churches to open their doors on the day. These include Bodenham Parish Church from 1pm to 4pm, Bredenbury PC, Hereford - St James, Leominster Priory, Lugwardine PC, Ross-on-Wye and Colwall parish churches, all from 10am-noon, Bromyard PC and the Moravian Church, Leominster from noon-4pm, Canon Pyon PC from 2pm-4pm, Hereford - St Nicholas from 10am-4pm, Eye PC from 2pm-5pm, Kington PC from 11am-1pm, and Weobley PC from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
