FLOOR - An initiative through the Herefordshire Bowls Association and Sellack Bowls Club could see the possibility of a new floor at Sellack Hall. Several years of campaigning by representatives of the club had brought to light the critical state and, with more regular use, many of the boards are deteriorating. The flooring at the hall was laid more than 60 years ago and even then the boards were second- hand coming, it is believed, from a hall at nearby Kynaston. Much-needed storage space at the hall is also high on the agenda and grants are being sought to bring this work to fruition.

ANNUAL MEETING - Sellack Bowls Club's annual meeting will be at Sellack Hall on May 22, and it will follow the slightly earlier start club roll-up session.

FRIENDLY MATCH - Brockhampton Bowls Club visited Sellack for a friendly match. An entertaining evening's play saw the visitors clinch victory.

TOURNAMENT - Sellack was teamed against Ross A, Bromyard A and Ledbury at a triples tournament at Bromyard. A match of 10 ends against each culminated in Sellack scoring 27 shots and having 28 scored against them. The Sellack triples side, which had won its way through to the finals day was Karen Skyrme, Jean Morris and Ivor Skyrme (skipper). Ross A won the group and its quality play enabled the trio to get to the final and win the trophy. Ross had previously taken the Herefordshire Division One title, as well as the LEH Two Counties Cup.
