THE Marches Car Club members are busy polishing up their cars ready to show them for the fifth year running at Pencombe Fete on Saturday.
Over the years the club's appearances have steadily grown so that other classic and kit car owners have brought their cars along.
The Marches Club is itself more than 12 years old and, although starting as a predominantly kit-car club, it now attracts classic car owners to its membership.
There will be the opportunity to see a graceful 30-year-old Austin Healey sitting comfortably beside an ultra-modern race-bred Striker that isn't even due for its first MOT!
The members indulge in many social events through the year on top of the monthly meetings.
They include supporting events and outings, such as Ludlow Festival of Transport, as well as arranging their own outings to places like the Heritage Motor Museum, at Gaydon, or the Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust.
They also display at national events, such as the Stoneleigh National Kit Car Exhibition, and the year is punctuated with lighter things like racing balloon-powered mini-drag cars or making model trebuchets to hurl paintballs all of 30-40ft.
