HEREFORDSHIRE'S canine inhabitants will be taking "like dogs to water" to a new Hampton Bishop facility.
The recently opened Hereford Canine Hydrotherapy Centre, run by veterinary nurse Sally Worthing and Helen White, provides therapy for rehabilitation and recreational exercise.
From their many years of animal care experience, Sally and Helen recognised the value of hydrotherapy to dogs and made the decision to open their own centre.
One of the facilities on offer is the "water walker", the first mobile unit in the country and the brainchild of Helen's husband, vet Norman White.
As its name suggests, the "water walker" allows dogs to exercise on a treadmill while the water takes the weight off the joints.
With a hydro spa and swimming pool as well, the centre will assist dogs recovering from accidents, orthopaedic surgery or suffering from arthritis, hip dysplasia and other related problems.
Anyone interested in knowing more can call Hereford Canine Hydrocare on 01432 370759, visit the website at www.herefordcaninehydrocare.co.uk or speak to their vet about a referral.
Dogs will not be seen without a registration form signed by your own vet.
