VILLAGE LOTTERY - Saturday July 2 draw number was 7 and Liz Shears won £25. The £25 winner for Saturday 9 July was Suzi and Paul Hodgson with number 38.
WACKY WALKERS -The next walk will be Saturday July 23.
PARISH COUNCIL - A successful Village Freighter and Box Van collection of household rubbish and furniture items on Saturday, July 9 took place in the centre of Bishopstone which was arranged by the Parish Council. The Annual Meeting and the next Parish Council Meeting will both be held on July 21 in Bridge Sollers church starting at 7.30pm.
SOAP BOX RACING - Richards Castle Soap Box Derby near Ludlow provided success for Bishopstone soap box racing team who entered two machines and came away with a first and a third. The new "BRM" machine won with the fastest single time of the day, 43 seconds, and at the same time set a course record. They also won the fastest overall team prize with an aggregate from 2 runs of 86.50 seconds. South Hereford Audi took second place with 89.80 and the "Bishy Boys" machine was third with 92 seconds. There were 20 senior entries including one from Vendee in France. The Bishopstone team have won this race for the two years it has been held and are now looking forward to their next race in September at Little Dewchurch where they will be the defending champions.
