PEGASUS Juniors Football Club benefited to the tune of £3,000 from their 50th anniversary dinner and it will help towards the development of their new ground at Old School Lane in Hereford.
The celebration evening was organised by Pegasus' original 'Old Boys' who raised the money through the dinner and sponsorship.
John Price, one of the main organisers, said that more money was to come and the Old Boys would be running annual fund-raisers on a smaller scale.
The Old School Lane development is coming along well but the club are still in urgent need of help through sponsorship to help bring it to fruition.
n Westfields' postmen's connection has led to sponsorship from Royal Mail for their change strip for away games.
Skipper Mark Hibbard, together with assistant secretary Brian James, new signing Mark Davis and other players John Hill, Jon Williams and Matt Beale are all postmen.
n The annual meeting of Hereford United Vice Presidents' Club will be held on Monday at 7.30pm.
n Hereford United are again organising an out-of-hours childcare scheme during the summer holidays
