OVER 150 competitors from across the UK braved the heat to compete in the annual Hereford Sprint Triathlon last Sunday. The men's winner was Matt Hawcroft, of Birmingham, who swam 400 metres, cycled 10 miles and then ran three miles in a time of 47 min 42 secs. His Birmingham club team-mate Victoria Rusius was the women's winner in 57.04.
