WOOLHOPE rider Paul Rogers has retained his senior title at the Rhayader Evening Motocross Welsh Open Series with three further wins in the final round of racing at Cwmythig Hill.
In the first of the three races on the evening in the combined senior/junior section, Rogers held off the challenge of Tim Forman for an easy win.
In the second race, Forman took an early lead but Rogers quickly took over to romp to another comfortable success.
Rogers then held off a strong bid from Leium Morgan in the third and final race of the night when the lead changed from corner to corner before Rogers finally took the chequered flag.
Paul O'Kelly followed Rogers' example in the novice class, remaining unbeatable as he won three from three.
But the expert section produced some thrilling racing with Brad Anderson having to beat off determined competition from round two winner Mark Jones in all three races before taking the title.
