ROSS Rowing Club enjoyed four days of top quality competition and won four events at Llandaff.
The senior 2 women's eight continued their successful season with a comfortable victory over Llandaff in one of the day's premier events. The crew was Annie Williams, Chris Hughes, Kat Clarke, Nicky Wild, Kirsty Gwynne, Malin Eriksson, Michelle Hughes, Amelia Kinsella and Rhiannon Jones (cox).
Malin Eriksson won her senior 2 single sculls, defeating Hutchinson of Dart/Totnes, while Tim Bunting gained senior sculling status by winning the men's novice Sculls against Avon County in a large field.
The men's novice four beat Llandaff well in the semi-finals, only to lose by one third of a length in the final. Coxed by Dan Ruck, the crew was was Jez Kelk, Paul Butler, Paul Symonds and Howard Colley.
The veteran F coxed four had a nail-biting semi against Bedford/Star, winning by a canvas, and went on to win the final against old rivals Monmouth who sadly caught a crab half way down the course.
