ROB PURDIE (11): (midfield/striker, 28-9-1982, 5'9", 49+26/10) An exponential improvement over the last closed season catapulted Purdie into the top rank of United players and set him on the way to an England non-league international cap. Started the season as Steve Guinan's strike partner but also filled in as a midfielder before fitting effortlessly into the 'hole' vacated by Ben Smith, a role he seems earmarked to carry on into the new season. If he can learn how to do 'tap-ins' in addition to spectacular long-range strikes, he is more than capable of surpassing Smith's goal tally as well as creating plenty for others with his excellent ball skills. Could well be the next young Bull to move on to bigger things.
