A FIFTEENTH century riverside inn at Symonds Yat has been sold for almost £600,000.
Ye Old Ferry Inn has been empty since the last tenants moved out in the autumn of last year.
The Inn has a bar for up to 70 guests and seven bedrooms, six of which are en-suite.
A ferryboat is also owned by the business and there is a slipway to the ferry point from which a cable extends to the other side of the river enabling the boat to travel from one side of the Wye to the other.
There is also a riverside mooring and landing area that can be used by tourists and passing boat traffic.
It has three English Tourist Board crowns. Licensed property agents Christie and Co of Bristol sold it to an unnamed buyer for £595,000.
