THE president of the Mothers Union in the Diocese of Hereford is to take to the roads in a vintage car to raise funds for MU projects at home and abroad.
Freda Davies, a pharmacist from Ross-on-Wye, will set off at 7am in a 1946 MGTC on August 17.
"I will be visiting every one of our 40 branches in the Diocese of Hereford, which covers a large geographical area, all of Herefordshire, half of Shrop-shire and bits of Worcester-shire and Wales!" said Freda.
"With the help of my husband Terry we have planned a route which hopefully will get us home by nine the same evening. We shall be joined on the trip by another MG driven by Vic and Sandra Lockley."
Freda is hoping that her vintage trip will raise the profile of the MU and raise funds for a number of their projects.
