THE competition to find Hereford's best-dressed premises has been a blooming success.
Banks, hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops and even the County Hospital took part in the Hereford City Floral Decorations competition.
With the objective of making Hereford a more attractive place to live, work and visit, Herefordshire Council's parks and countryside service, in partnership with Hereford City Council, judged the six categories.
The winners, who will be presented with their awards at the end of September by Marcelle Lloyd-Hayes, the Mayor of Hereford, were: banks and offices - Beaumonts in Offa Street; hotels and pubs (large) - The Three Counties Hotel in Belmont Road; hotels and pubs (small) - Taste of Raj in St Owen Street; shops (large) - Rockfield DIY in Station Approach; shops (small) - Mr Chips in Commercial Road; and the "other premises" award went to the County Hospital.
