HEREFORDSHIRE wind up their Minor Counties Championship programme this weekend when they visit Reading to take on Berkshire in a three-day match starting on Sunday.

The county will show two changes from the side which beat Wales in their last match at Luctonians with all-rounder Gariv Nawaz becoming the fourth player from the Bradford-Leeds UCCE side to represent Herefordshire this season.

Nawaz replaces Mark Dale while his university colleague Tom Glover also returns to the line-up instead of Andy Sutton who is unavailable due to MCC commitments.

Veteran opening batsman Harshad Patel is still ruled out by injury and his regular opening partner, Richard Hall, is also unavailable.

Hall is playing for his club side, Barnt Green, in final of the National Club Knockout Cup at Lord's. Herefordshire's cricket development officer Steve Williams, who has also represented the county side, is also likely to figure in the Barnt Green team.

Last season's match between Herefordshire and Berkshire at Kingsland was ruined by rain with Herefordshire making 61-3 in reply to Berkshire's first innings of 319.

Herefordshire: G Ahmed, T Brierley, H Langford, C Boroughs (capt), M Ali, D Exall, D Willetts, T Glover, R Parker, D Shilvock, G Nawaz.
