(Westfields win 9-8 on penalties)
WESTFIELDS and Pegasus produced an exciting and closely-contested Dennis Hartland Memorial Trophy match with the game eventually decided on penalty-kicks in the home side's favour.
Westfields had the better of the early play with Wayne Hoskins' header deflecting on to an upright off a Pegasus defender and away for a corner while Derek Craddock forced a fine save from Jamie Hales.
But the visitors also had their moments with Leigh Harris just off target with a snap shot and Laurence Helme firing narrowly over the top corner.
Chris Mortlock caused a few problems for the home defence with a cross from the bye-line which no attacker could touch and then was out of luck himself with a header against the cross bar after Mark Smith had nodded on a corner kick.
As time ticked away, both defences continued to be on top but Westfields might have snatched the win when the dangerous Paul Burton found space only to head over the bar.
