HEREFORDSHIRE'S under-10 side rounded off a successful season with a creditable performance at the Malvern Festival where they won two out of their three matches.
The only side to lower Herefordshire's colours in the competition were Warwickshire in a game in which Hereford-shire's bowling and fielding provided the highlight of their season.
A very strong Warwickshire side had piled up 364 the previous day but Herefordshire restricted them to 163-5 with fine bowling from the four spinners George Mokler, Steve Wilson, Gabriel Warwick and Billy Oliver.
The spin quartet also bowled well in the win over Cheshire while Dorset were Herefordshire's other victims.
Batsman of the year was Joe Crichard, closely followed by Oliver, who compiled two undefeated half-centuries.
Bowler of the year was Wilson, just ahead of Crichard and Mokler while Tom Parry was fielder of the year by some distance, taking four catches against Staffordshire with two exceptional return catches.
Oliver's wicket-keeping was consistent through the campaign and he also demonstrated his versatility by bowling his off- and leg-breaks at Malvern.
