ROGER and Scott Moran were top points scorers in two rounds of the Avon BMTR Top Ten Challenge at Loton Park last Sunday.

The father and son team from Orleton were on the pace all weekend at the 1,475-yards Shropshire course and Scott was the fastest qualifier, winning the unlimited racing car class in a time of 46.65 seconds.

Roger stopped the clocks at 46.83 for second spot in the morning run-off and Scott was third on 47.25.

Yarkhill driver Deryk Young took fifth with 47.48.

The afternoon run-off was won by Roger who equalled Scott's qualifying time of 46.45. Scott took a close second place with 46.67 and Young was fourth on 47.13.

All three drivers will be competing at the Shelsley Walsh Centenary meeting this weekend.
