Leominster maintained their push for Nash Rocks Bowls League championship with a win at Hay.
One win from their remaining two matches will see them home and out of reach of second-place Kington, who also have two matches left to play.
Kington must win their two remaining matches to go equal with Leominster if the leaders lose their last two games.
But Leominster remain firm favourites for the title as they have a much better shots difference than Kington.
Leominster proved much too good on the day for Hay, winning on all rinks with Ray Walker's rink heading the field with a 31-11 victory.
In the only other match played this week, Kingsland were made to work hard for a home win against lowly Wellington, finally getting home by eight shots.
The Wellington rink skipped by club captain Ken Hancock suffered badly as he broke his spectacles just before the match started and went to a 19-2 deficit after only six ends.
A borrowed pair of glasses designed for snooker helped him steady the rink but they still went down to 30-19.
The 11-shot victory was enough to carry the match and keep up Kingsland's challenge for the runners up spot and they next meet Kington away in a crunch match.
Results: Leominster 103, Hay 53; Kingsland 88, Wellington 80.
