RUXTON Whisper was a big noise at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage Premier League Show with impressive wins in all three of the hotly-contested Young Horse Classes for five-year-olds.

The Kings Caple-based horse, ridden by Heather Cumming, netted an overall score of 83% to win the coveted qualifying championship tickets to the British Dressage National Finals and the Masters League Championship.

"She is a wonderfully talented horse with an excellent competition nerve," said Cumming, who rides for Ruxton Horses and has trained her for the last two years. "She feels every inch an international horse and I am looking forward to riding her at the Grand Prix."

Cumming almost repeated the success in the six-year-old classes with Ruxton Wundersohn who was second in two highly-competitive classes, beaten by only .02 of a mark.

He also goes to Hickstead at the end of the month to take part in the championship finals.

"I am delighted with both of the horses and Heather," said Melanie Phillips, who runs Ruxton Horses and is Wundersohn's usual rider but has been sidelined for much of the season as she is expecting her first child in September.
