BREDENBURY rider Alice Pearson has enjoyed a memorable Junior European three-day event championships in Saumur, France.
Riding Coconut Grove, owned by Jayne Bolton, the 18-year-old was the highest placed of the British riders, finishing in 10th place overall.
"While I was not in the British team, I competed as an individual and was in 25th place after the dressage section," said Alice, who was one of two late calls-up to the squad after injuries ruled out Jolyse Clancey and Lauren Shannon.
"Then he had a super clear round in the cross-country and that pushed us up to 18th. He was straight as a die in the three waters. We had one fence down in the showjumping but finished inside the time and that meant that we finished 10th.
"Coconut Grove was awesome. I am so lucky to have him."
