Hereford and County AC senior men's team competed in the final meeting of the Midland Men's League held at Hereford.
Some outstanding performances from all the Hereford athletes enabled them to finish second on the day and third overall in Division 5, just missing out on promotion.
Eric Spink, who is still an under 17, won the pole vault A with 3.60 metres, and the long jump B with 5.79 metres and came second in the high jump A with 1.60 metres.
Hereford under-17 girls excelled at the fourth meeting of the South East Wales League at Hereford Leisure Centre.
There was a triple success for Leah Preston who led the field home in the 100 metres, the 200 metres and the long jump.
