DOMINIES & Guild XI won this friendly at Bosbury on Sunday by one wicket.

BOSBURY v DOMINIES & GUILD

Home captain Steve Davies decided to bat on a slightly damp pitch. Bosbury were soon in trouble as Miles and Gammon found some movement off the pitch and some swing in the opening overs to leave Bosbury reeling at 13-5 after just six overs.

It was left to Bosbury guest player Nick Price to salvage something from the innings and he powered his way to a 50, supported by Andrew Wilson (12), Ben Ledbury (8) and Steve Davies (11).

Bosbury closed on 108 all out with Price 61no, in an innings containing seven 4s and three 6s.

Dominies got off to a good start and had made 22 before Cuminskey was caught by Luke Ledbury for eight off Steve Davies. Wickets then fell and following a superb catch by Luke Ledbury and two wickets in successive balls from Peter Blake, Dominies were really struggling at 66-9.

Miles and Gammon took the score to 72-9 at tea, then came out afterwards with 37 more runs still required to win. They survived some tense overs and steered Dominies to a one wicket win, with Matt Gammon on 33no and Miles 13no.

Bosbury return to league action tomorrow (Saturday) with a home game against Builth Wells.
