Ledbury Town completed their pre-season build-up on Wednesday with a comfortable home win against Malvern Rangers.

Ledbury opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Sean Maynard and although Rangers equalised four minutes later, Ledbury were soon back in front when Sean McKeon converted a spot-kick.

Sean Maynard was on target again in the 30th minute and Ledbury went into the break leading 4-1.

Ledbury introduced Tom Locke and Scott Roberts for the second half but it was the returning Nick Stockley who scored with a looping header in the 59th minute.

Neil Gardiner rounded the goalkeeper to make the final score 6-1.

Town Reserves entertained Gloucester County League side Gala Wilton on Saturday and ran out 4-1 winners.

The visitors took the lead after a defensive error but a powerful header from Dan Herbert levelled before half-time.

After the interval, further goals came from Dean, Smith and Rosanne.

Tonight (Friday), the reserves entertain Powick in a friendly, kick-off 7pm.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Ledbury Town open their league programme at Great Wyrley (2.45). A coach leaves the ground at 12.15pm, all supporters welcome.
