A Ledbury-based charity is hoping children's clothes and toy sales will raise valuable funds.

The Ann Brennan Foundation, run by the owner of the Playstation Day Nursery, aims to help children and young adults infected with AIDS and HIV in Medias, Romania.

Money raised helps deliver clothes, toys, food and vitamins to victims, as well as providing education about the infection.

Sales will take place from 11am to 1pm in the Burgage Hall, Ledbury on the first Saturday of every other month, starting on Saturday, October 1.

Charity spokesman Sarah Bell said: "There will be around 13 tables and people can book them for £5 each, we hope it will help pay for a big project to raise awareness about AIDS and HIV in Romania."

She said businesses, residents and farmers in Ledbury had donated generously since the charity was set up in November.

Donations include £335 from buckets on the tills at Somerfield and £84 from a staff raffle at Homebase.

The foundation will be represented at the Ledbury Carnival and is in the process of launching its own website.
