FETE - Saturday, August 13, proved unlucky for the organisers of the Fete at the Lady Emily Hall, as after many years of fine weather at various venues, this year the 13th proved to be a wet day.
Some of the stalls were moved inside and the lunches were greatly appreciated.
The amount of money that was raised was in excess of £1,340 which was a tremendous amount under the circumstances, so a great deal of thanks must go out to all the helpers.
BOOK CLUB - Sue Millington-Jones is trying to start a book club in Tarrington, the idea is that a group of people meet once a month and discuss a book that has been read by the group the previous month.
Wine and nibbles would help make this evening a memorable social event. Anyone interested in learning more telephone Sue on 01432 890420.
DIARY DATE - A Flower and Harvest Festival is to be held in Tarrington Church on the weekend of September 30.
