The seventh Abergavenny Food Festival takes place on September 17-18 offering a foodie weekend of shopping, tasting and eating - as well as a chance to meet some of the brightest lights of the food world.

Book early for masterclasses, competitions, demonstrations, debates, displays, walks and talks; plus a wonderful array of more than 100 speciality producers from Wales and the borders selling everything from fresh sushi to potted chilli plants.

Waitrose will head up events at a new central venue, the beautifully restored Priory Centre at St Mary's, with a programme of free food workshops for children aged five to 11.

Outside in the Courtyard will be another 'first' for the festival: The Fish Market, featuring some of the fantastic produce that the Welsh coast has to offer, as well as seafood preparation and cookery demonstrations.

Phone 01873 851643 or write to Abergavenny Food Festival, PO Box 49, Abergavenny NP7 5XZ for a programme.
