A website to help West Midlands companies understand their health and safety obligations and take action to meet the relevant laws and regulations has been launched.

At www.sesuk.org.uk, companies can access and download the latest literature, including summaries of regulations, Government policy statements and specific guidance, across the full health and safety spectrum.

The website also allows the downloading of a wide range of official forms and other documentation which are needed to comply with legislation.

SES is one of the region's main providers of health and safety advice in manufacturing and engineering, education, retail, housing and nuclear power.

Access to the "information zone" on the new website is provided as part of the SES membership package, which provides a vast range of additional benefits, including a free initial health and safety survey, a direct telephone helpline and an emergency support service.

"Health and safety issues represent an essential but increasingly demanding element of every company's activities," said head of SES, Bob Green.

"Our website will give continuous access to core information so firms can develop an informed, measured understanding of what they need to do."

The site also provides information on focused workshops, seminars and short courses offered by SES.

Further information on SES is available from the website, on 0121 456 2222, or by e-mailing sesinfo@eef-westmids.org.uk
