Kington Golf Club's Jubilee Cup produced some impressive scoring and a tight finish before Ryan Cadwall-ader was declared the winner.

Cadwallader and Lee Wilson both posted nett 64s, but Cadwallader, who had an impressive gross 67, won on countback over the last nine holes.

n Ross-on-Wye Seniors took their unbeaten run to nearly four months with a convincing 7-1 win over visiting Stinch-combe.

n A team representing New Holland Tractors retained Hereford Lions Club's tournament trophy at Wormsley in an event which raised £4,800 for local charity projects.

Team captain Mike Hughes was backed by Phil Jones, Alan Hawes and Dave Watson as they fought off stiff opposition from 51 teams.

Runners-up were Ian Carpenter, Julian Parry, Mark Reynolds and Jon Curtis, while Mark Sandford, Dex Murg-atroyd, Stuart Humphries and Bob Stewart were third.

Ian Carpenter was nearest the pin on the 18th where he completed his round with a two.
