Bromyard Town failed to get off the start they needed in the West Midlands League premier division as they slipped to a 2-1 loss at home to Heath Hayes.

Town dominated play for the first half-hour and were eventually rewarded with the opener on 38 minutes. Chris Allen scored with a low drive from Andy Crowther's cross.
In a goal-mouth scramble, Jamie Banks deliberately hand-balled on the line and was sent off but Hayes failed to convert the spot-kick just before the interval.
Bromyard tried to hang on to their slender lead but midway through the half two goals in as many minutes, by Chris Whitehouse and Richard Hewitt, eared the visitors the points.
Town Reserves were beaten 5-0 at Wolverhampton Development in division two though Kieran Powis, Paul Jones and Neil Berry all played well.
Bromyard Town entertained Wellington in a premier division derby on Wednesday and picked up the points with a 1-0 victory.
Play was even in the first half although Bromyard's Andy Crowther went close with a header.
It was Crowther who scored the only goal of the game when he smashed home a rebound.
