A planning application for 16 houses in Bromyard town centre has been re-submitted by developers.

The first plan for land off Old Road caused concern among residents of nearby Clover Terrace in February.

They said an access road for the development, off Clover Terrace, would cause too much traffic congestion.

Stourbridge-based Developers Hercules House has now submitted a second application, changing the access.

Company director Barry Connally said although access would still be off Clover Terrace, it would only be for two or three houses, with the main entrance off Old Road.

He said the style of the development had also been made more "traditional", to be in keeping with surrounding buildings.

He said each house had off-road parking.

"The new plan meets all planning requirements," said. Mr Connally.

"We don't just go in and bulldoze things. We listen to people."

A decision on the application will be made by Herefordshire Council.
