TWO goals by Chris Davis midway through the first half sapped the confidence of the Pegasus side and hastened their first GLS Hellenic League Premier Division defeat of the season last Wednesday.
Shortly after Anthony Robbins had seen an effort tipped on to the bar, at the other end Chris Davis raced through the visiting defence to fire past Jamie Hales.
Davis blasted home from 20 yards virtually straight from restart and with James Darby heading home a corner just before the interval, Shortwood were firmly in control at the break.
Davis completed his hat-trick on the hour with an audacious lob from 25 yards and Tim Haddock rounded off a depressing night for the Hereford side when he converted a last-minute penalty.
