Orleton-based Scott Moran was second only to runaway series leader Martin Groves when he and his father, Roger, contested two rounds of the Nicholson McLaren British Hill Climb Championship at Gurston Down.
Groves won the morning run-off with a time of 26.23 seconds over the ultra-fast 1,160 yards Wiltshire track. Scott was a close second on 26.45 and Roger took seventh with 27.18.
The win in the afternoon session went to Groves who reset the course record at 25.85, crossing the finish line at 150 mph. Scott was second on 26.88 and Roger took fourth with 26.97.
