A FIVE-MINUTE downpour shortly before the start dampened any hopes of personal best times in Hereford Wheelers' final 10-mile time trial of the season at Allensmore.
But in-form Wheeler Jon Tetley still managed a creditable 24 mins 4 secs for first place in a 16-strong field.
Top five places: Jon Tetley 24.04, 2 Simon Geary 25.22, 3 Peter Murrieri 25.30, 4 Richard Lambert 25.31, 5 Chris Hughes 25.44.
l Tetley also produced the best Wheelers' time of 5 hrs 9 mins 1 sec over 100 miles and finished 29th out of 396 in the Bike Wales Challenge at Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.
