Westfields 3 Sutton Coldfield Town 0

MATT Aubrey cracked an FA Cup preliminary round hat-trick as Westfields completed a giantkilling act over their Southern League Western Division visitors to move into the first qualifying round.

Aubrey, a late replacement for the injured Mark Davis, fired the city side ahead two minutes before the interval when he followed up to score after Paul Burton's shot was blocked by Dale Bedford.

Ten minutes after the break, Aubrey found the net again, leaping to head home after Wayne Hoskins had headed a Carl Morgan corner across the goal.

Sutton Coldfield threw on two substitutes in an attempt to retrieve the game but found Jon Pugh in the home goal in top form.

Then, six minutes from time, Hoskins put Aubrey free on the right and the youngster let fly with a powerful drive which screamed into the top corner of the net.

Westfields will now entertain Unibond League side Belper Town in the first qualifying round on September 10.

Westfields 2 Malvern Town 4

WITH four players missing through injury and suspension, Westfields suffered a second successive Mid-lands Alliance defeat.

Malvern, like Westfields, came into the game on the back of an FA Cup success and took the lead after 18 minutes when Mark Shepherd headed home Duncan Preedy's cross at the far post.

Westfields were quickly back on level terms when Chris King volleyed home from 20 yards but Malvern regained the lead before the interval when Craig Heaney was allowed a free header.

Preedy extended the Malvern lead shortly after the break but a superb headed goal from Mark Davis put the home side back into the game. Shortly before the end, however, Richard Tomkins sealed victory.
