WOULD the polytunnel protesters give some thought to this point.

A grower of soft fruit, using tunnels and employing 500 young people from 10 different countries, was asked if he had any trouble with the different nationalities. His reply was: "Very little, but years before when the pickers were local and people transported in from away there was often trouble."

Doesn't this tell us something that we are missing? That these youngsters from different parts of the world can get on with each other, and we should welcome them for the diplomacy they show and for our future well being.
