Ledbury Rugby Club start their Midlands Three West (South) campaign tomorrow (Saturday) with a visit to Old Coventrians (3pm).
The Ross Road outfit will be hoping for some improved performances from last season, when Ledbury were never far away from the relegation spots.
In fact, it did appear that Ledbury would have to drop a division but a protest that Shipston-on-Stour had played an unregistered player against Hereford was admitted by the errant club and they were deducted ten points.
This saw them finish below Ledbury and they joined basement club Droitwich in Midlands Four West (South).
Ledbury entertain Pershore at Ross Road next Saturday (Sept 10) before their first round Powergen Intermediate Cup tie at home to Shrewsbury on September 17.
