Ledbury's first skatepark competition takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm.
The winner will get a Woodward BMX bike, worth £400, provided by the Ledbury firm Playworld, which actually built the skatepark.
Over 20 sponsors are supporting the contest, including Ledbury Town Council, which has given £300 towards costs and prizes. The hope is that the competition will appeal to young people in Ledbury.
However the event at the Recreation Ground facility will be open to all permanent residents of Ledbury district.
Entry forms are available from the Tourist Information Centre, police station and youth centre. They will be accepted on the day from 11am to 1pm, when the action will begin. The first 30 competitors will each receive a goodie bag.
